DIRTY LAUNDRY COLLECTIVE
Dirty Laundry Collective (DLC) is a collaboration of early-career performance makers experimenting with collective praxis, emerging artmaking technologies, and creating art in response to the social and cultural changes caused by Covid-19.
DLC brings together eight Melbourne-based artists aged 23 to 29. We are from Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Narooma, Sydney, Melbourne, Singapore and China. Our multi-disciplinary focus draws on theatre, writing, movement, digital art, film, website building and social media platforms to generate new ways of engaging liveness and performance.
Our work stems from diverse personal and artistic experiences, including queer, migrant, feminist and anti-racist perspectives. We are deeply invested and experienced in arts facilitation and community engagement, with proven histories of working together. We are a dynamic collective of artists who have turned our focus to creating an infrastructure of mutual support, inspiration and professional development.
